A 2001 Cavalier bumper system was tested with OEM parts and Diamond Standard parts. The rebar, energy absorber, and OEM fascia were used in a 5MPH low – speed rear impact test according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Protocol. To conduct this test, a 7 inch diameter steel pole is securely mounted for impact with the rear center of the vehicle. IIHS Protocol is used because it is recognized as the standard within the automotive industry and yielded a cost savings of $126.94 over OEM parts.

In dynamic tests on 2007 Camry rebars conducted by MGA Research, Reflexxion Diamond Standard Reinforcement Bars were tested vs. OE and an offshore aftermarket part from a leading supplier. Click and compare to see the results for yourself. In the dynamic test, Diamond Standard Parts perform in the same manner as OE while the aftermarket part fails. The reason being Diamond Standard rebars use OE equivalent high strength steel (HSS) and ultra high strength steel (UHSS) material, and are roll formed processed for maximum strength and safety. The failing part uses lower strength material sacrificing safety in the favor of lower pricing. Diamond Standard Parts - the safe choice for collision repair and true alternative to OE performance at an affordable price!
