| New York Code of Regulations/ Section 216.7 | Consent, Equal in Quality to OEM Parts, and Certification | If the aftermarket part has yet to be certified, the insurer must specify only parts covererd by written warranty which warrants that the aftermarket part equals or exceeds the comparable car company part in terms of fit, form, finish, quality, and performance. The insurer may not, without consent of the insured's designated representative, specify non-OEM parts from more than three different suppliers for any one repair. |
